Hi, I would like to be able to select a component in the graphic area and have its information highlight in a data table next to it.
I know the reverse currently exists, but i believe this will allow for much easier user interaction with our BOMs
That function is working correctly for me. As long as the item is included in the table, the part in the BOM will highlight and vice versa. I am using the premium version and don’t know if it works in other levels.
Hi @EHS4740,
Could you private message me a link to your project and the team will take a look? Alternatively, message us through our website.
As the other user mentioned, cross-highlighting should work, so we would need to see it failing to diagnose it.
I have a slight correction to my earlier post. I noticed that when changing between part and assembly modes this feature is affected. It doesn’t highlight the item in the BOM if item is selected. but item will be highlighted if the BOM item is selected.
Also I am having trouble selected individual parts that are not part of an assembly, in that it selects the remainder of the project. I think it is because parts not part of a specific subassembly are considered part of the main assembly, but that’s just my guess. I believe if the parts I am trying to include were originally part of the subassembly in Solidworks it would resolve the problem.
