I have been experiencing an issue when trying to create a video of a project. Specifically, the video produced is not the same version that I have just created and is on the current designer as it contains the issue that was just corrected. This is very similar to my earlier post about version selection. In both cases what is being selected in both instances is an earlier version. I would appreciate any help you could offer.
Thanks
I just tried copying the project and making a video from the copy. The copy shows the latest version in both the designer and viewer, however when making a movie the older version is used.
HI @user6388, could you private message us the url in the browser that you see when in the designer of the original project? The video doesnt really know anything about versions, just does whats active, so could do with seeing the proble first hand to get a better understanding.
This is the URL copies from the project when in the designer.
EDITED TO REMOVE LINK FROM PUBLIC POST
When making the video I select MP4 for the output and full screen.
I tried deleting the 3D plate I made as a toolbox item. The problem persists.
Did you receive the URL to my project?
The video basically records your screen, so if it looks ok when going through the steps the outputted video should be the same, the versions have nothing to do with it.
Which step in the designer is not showing correctly in the video, as for me it matches ok?
From step 9 onwards then “X” that is in the upper right of the table labeled ‘3’ is not in the same place in the video that is made from this designer. This is a link to the video that was made from this project.

Thanks for clarifying.
This is due to the video going full screen and the way the text X has been defined. See this video
Notice when I toggle full screen (F11) ,which is what happends when you record the video, one of the the 2D markup is shifting. Also notice the difference in behaviour when I rotate the camera, the bottom X moves with the model, the top X doesnt. This is becuase its not anchored to any of the 3D parts.
An easy fix, simply put a new X on, but this time make sure you click on the 3D plate, so that it is linked to it, of course you will need to update the step(s) afterwards.
Thanks. I didn’t think I would be able to have text attached to anything. I thought text and other toolbox item would float. I was hoping it was something easy.
